Doctoral Symposia
Twice a year, the Doctoral Program has the great honor of holding the bi-annual Symposium Gathering for Alumni, Students and Friends of the ASU Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership. Doctoral Symposia are framed around themes of Doctoral Studies. The Doctoral Program relies on an intellectually and philosophically diverse faculty and students in our ongoing efforts to facilitate a varied range of research issues.
The spring Doctoral Symposia also provide the venue for the presentation of the annual Alice Phoebe Naylor Outstanding Dissertation Award. The Naylor Award is named for Alice Naylor, Professor Emerita and former director of the Doctoral Program. Each spring, the symposium features the previous year's Naylor honoree who delivers the Naylor Lecture. The Naylor Lecture provides a forum for speakers to address the role of doctoral life in their professional development.
