The Doctoral Program would like to recognize current student Andrew Bumgarner for his presentations at both the NFI and SENIA Conferences. Bumgarner presented his work on Artificial Intelligence in Special Education.
The Next Frontier Inclusion (NFI) Conference was held in Dubai in February of 2024 and the Special Education Network & Inclusion Association (SENIA) Summit was held in Ho Chi Minh City in March of 2024.
At the conferences, Bumgarner had the opportunity to present to teachers, administrators, and school directors. When asked how he felt his research would impact his field, he stated, “access to AI for students with unique learner profiles has finally evened the playing field increasing curriculum accessibility and the ability for students to showcase their learning.”
Bumgarner is also set to present at the March 2025 SENIA Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
