Clary Begins New Role at Pacific Northwest University

Libby Clary, Appalachian alumna and former Graduate Assistant of the Ed.D. program, has been promoted from her frormer position as Learning Skills Specialist to Interim Director of Student Success at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.

Clary’s career spans from supporting Appalachian’s Ed.D. program for two years to working as the Tutoring Coordinator where she managed the operations of App State’s Student Learning Center and supervised dozens of undergraduate tutors. Her passion for researching the relationship between high adverse childhood experiences (ACES) and academic success has led her to Yakima, Washington, where she utilizes her expertise from Appalachian to support student success.

“Ultimately, my personal and professional goal is to pursue a doctorate degree in prevention science to help combat the ongoing prevalence of trauma, abuse, and adverse childhood experiences,” says Clary on her LinkedIn profile.
