Dr. Alecia Jackson Presenting on March 23rd

"Dr. Alecia Jackson is faculty in the College of Education at Appalachian State University. She is an affiliate faculty of our GWS program. Dr. Jackson's research interests bring feminist, poststructural, and posthuman theories of power/knowledge, language, materiality, and subjectivity to bear on a range of overlapping topics: deconstructions of voice and method; conceptual analyses of resistance, freedom, and agency in girls’ and women’s lives; and qualitative analysis in the “posts.” Her co-authored book, Thinking with Theory in Qualitative Research, is a required text in research methodology courses, and was a winner of a 2013 American Educational Studies Association's Critics Choice Award. She is co-editor of Voice In Qualitative Inquiry, and she has published extensively in the best journals in her field."

Dr. Alecia Jackson is making a presentation at 5 PM on March 23rd, 2022, on feminist theory issues of pedagogy and educational change.  All are welcome to attend! The registration link can be found here
