Doctoral Student Andrew Bumgarner Contributes to Global Conversation on AI in Education

Current doctoral student Andrew Bumgarner, who is an Upper School Learning Support Coordinator at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong, has been invited to contribute to a collaborative statement on the role of AI in education, a joint effort by Next Frontier Inclusion (NFI) and International School Leaders for Educational Support (ISLES). This initiative brought together a team of experts who integrated cutting-edge research to examine the impact of artificial intelligence on the international school community. The resulting statement has now been published by both organizations — under AI & Neurodiversity by NFI and Generative AI & Neurodiversity by ISLES.

In addition to his contribution to the statement, NFI has invited Andrew to support their design team, where he will represent the intersection of technology and education. As part of this role, Andrew will be providing a monthly segment titled "What’s Now in TechEd," which will be featured on NFI's website. His first installment is set to launch in April.

Congratulations to Andrew on this important work — we look forward to his continued contributions to the global conversation at the intersection of technology and international education.
