We’re thrilled to celebrate an exciting new chapter for doctoral student Kelley Bendheim, who will soon step into a pivotal leadership role in education policy.
Bendheim will serve as Policy Director of Early Literacy at The Foundation for Excellence in Education (ExcelinEd). In this role, Kelley will work with the early literacy team to support states in the development, adoption, and implementation of a comprehensive approach to K–3 reading policy—grounded in the Science of Reading—that ensures students are prepared for success before moving on to fourth grade. ExcelinEd supports states in transforming education through student-centered policies that increase student learning, advance opportunity, and ready students for college and career.
“I am excited to support the critical work of early literacy through policy by collaborating with state leaders from across the country,” said Bendheim.
