Call for Proposals: Ed.D. Symposium
We’re excited to announce the upcoming Symposium and invite students, alumni, and colleagues in the broader educational community to share their work. This year, we invite you to engage with the theme: “The Work Only You Can Do Now.” Consider how it opens your research and practice to the intersection of the enduring and the immediate:
The Work Only You Can Do Now: What is the task at hand, and how does the daily reality of your education work site lend itself to purposeful and illuminating inquiry? How are well-understood principles of educational practice enacted in the precise tasks you attend to every day?
The Work Only You Can Do Now: What are the opportunities for transformative research born of your positionality, perspective, and situation? What can you uniquely see—and what can you see, uniquely?
The Work Only You Can Do Now: What are the specific limits and affordances within which you are practicing this year? How do federal, state, and local policy issues impact your work, and what do you anticipate is coming?
We invite proposals from current doctoral students in the research (post-coursework) phase, program alumni, and friends in the broader educational community that explore the dynamic between enduring principles and current contexts and needs.
Share Your Work at the Symposium!
Proposals for presentations are due by Friday, September 5.
